Mobile World Congress is Mobile(WMC) is the largest exhibition for the Mobile industry, which includes all types of Stake Holders like Manufactures, operators, Distributors, and industries owners across the world.
In 2014 the GSMA announce first summer event in China in Shanghai and the first time its name was selected as "Mobile World Congress Shanghai ".
In 2016 another version of MWC was announced and its place was North Amerca but after that next year Spain city, Barcelona was select for this Event.

Transport Options
There are many types of transports option are available for you that you can use during the event. How many options are available and how to use these options all information are available below :
Free Transport Passes
Upon collecting their badge, MWC attendees will be given a transport pass providing free, unlimited Metro and FGC train rides during event days. The free pass even covers the supplemental fare to the Barcelona Airport for 1 trip.
  • One Free Public Transport Pass is provided per attendee. In the event of loss or damage, replacements will not be provided
  • The free transport pass is valid during event days only, so if you’re using public transport over the weekend, you’ll need to purchase tickets for those days
  • Make sure to collect your pass when picking up your accreditation at any of the badge collection points at the airport and in the city!

Metro
NEW FOR 2019 – Use the new L10S Foc station to access the venue through North Entrance when the destination is at Hall 5, 6, 7 & 8. The exit is only 6 min walking distance.
L9S Fira station for access directly to the venue through the metro tunnel at South Entrance when the destination is at Hall 1, 2, 3 & 4 for those who already have collected their badge.
Europa Fira station on local train FGC is also convenient for those transferring at Espanya station and wishing to Access the venue through the South Entrance.
L9S is the fastest way to access and depart the venue from/ to the airport Terminal 1 and 2.




FGC Train
Board any FGC train at Plaça Espanya Metro station and disembark at Europa/Fira. The train journey takes seven minutes, and Fira Gran Via is a five-minute walk from the station.


RENFE Train
Upon arrival at Sants Estació station, take Metro L5 (blue) to Collblanc. Transfer to metro line L9S (orange) and disembark at the Fira Metro Station if your final destination is within the Halls 1 to 4. Alternatively, change to the new L10S for Foc station if your final destination is Halls 8 to 5 and wish you to access the venue through the North Entrance.

Fira Gran Via/Fira Montjuïc Shuttle
A free shuttle operates continuously between MWC Barcelona and 4YFN venues during the 4 event days. The Fira Gran Via shuttle stop is located at the North Entrance, and the shuttle stop at Fira Montjuïc is on Reina Maria de Cristina, located outside of Hall 8.


Official Hotel Shuttle Buses
The GSMA offers complimentary Hotel Shuttle Buses during event days, serving hotels where public transport is not available. Hotel Shuttle Bus stop is located outside the North Entrance at Fira Gran Via.


Taxi
Two taxi ranks are available at Fira Gran Via, located at the North and South Entrances. Taxis are available over the weekend prior to the event and will be fully staffed during event days.

Parking Space
You can also make use of the available underground car parking areas, which are located around the venue.


Private Buses
You can book your private bus with network our official transport partner for services from/to the airport, transport in town. For further information, please contact transportmwcb@b-network.com.
There is a designated area outside the venue for drop off an pick up signed as zone A, B, and C.


VIP Car Pick-up & Drop-off Area
The VIP Car Drop-off Point is intended for VIPs, namely CEO attendees. We continue to improve the experience for the VIPs using this access area by making sure the mobility is fluid.

Holding Area and Slots Pick-up
Cars accessing the VIP Drop-Off Point will be routed through underground Car Park E, from Passeig de la Zona Franca using Foc, near Hall 3 – please see the map below. This route and the holding area will keep cars flowing smoothly through the VIP Drop-Off Point while providing a convenient place for drivers to wait for their passengers.
Upon entering the underground Car Park E, drivers dropping off passengers will stay in the left lane; the right lane will take drivers to a holding area where they may wait for their passengers. Drivers will only be allowed to enter the VIP Pick-up Area once they receive a call from their passenger that they are ready for pick up. Please note that drivers will be allowed no more than five minutes of loading time in the VIP Pick-Up Area at CC3.

Metro L9S
Metro L9S connects Barcelona Airport to the Fira Gran Via venue with a stop at Europa Fira and Fira. Trains depart the airport every 7 minutes during peak times, and the journey to Fira Gran Via takes approx. 22 minutes from the airport.

There are Metro stations at both terminals:
  • T1 Terminal: From Baggage Claim, follow the signs to MWC Badge Collection; the T1 station is located adjacent to Badge Collection
  • T2B Terminal: From Baggage Claim, follow the signs to MWC Badge Collection; the T2 station is located a few minutes’ walks from Badge Collection and is clearly signposted.
While you’re at Badge Collection, don’t forget to pick up your Free Transport Pass, good for the 4 event days. Your free transport pass even covers the supplemental costs between the Airport and the city for 1 trip.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available outside both airport terminals.

Train
The train connects the airport with the city center, stopping at Barcelona Sants Railway Station. The airport station is located opposite Terminal T2B, connected via an air bridge. Journey time to Fira Gran Via is approximately 19 minutes.

Aerobus
The Aerobus departs from both Terminals and arrives at Plaça Espanya.
  • Bus frequency: every 5 to 15 minutes from 06:00 to 01:00
  • Approximate journey time: 20 minutes between the airport and Plaça Espanya (Tickets are available from ticket machines or may be purchased from the driver)
